What is the difference between “Participants” and “Respondents”?

Modified on Sat, 27 Aug, 2022 at 12:16 PM

Dialogue is unlike any other pulse or survey, we like to think differently about how someone can choose to share their voice. So we created a new way to measure that.

Participants: Unique users who engaged with the platform in any way - 1) left a response, 2) voted on the open-ended responses, 3) viewed the aggregated results or any combination of those actions.

Respondents: Participants who responded to at least one question in the pulse (can be a metric or open-ended question).

For example, if your Participant number is higher than your Respondent number, it means you had participants who didn't respond to the questions however they either voted or viewed the results.
